changing it up

He stood there, staring at the once often visited holy ground. It's just not the same. His heart doesn't beat faster anymore, and surely, his body doesn't break out in dancing when he walks towards this place of refuge. He knows he's traded in the most beautiful experience for cheap and transient returns.

He stands there, contemplating where to go next. Wondering if he should turn around and quit it all, like so many have done before him. Or, shall he continue the journey and walk towards the opening to this holy sanctuary.

He starts shifting through the realities of his situation and what they could all mean:

If this is truly my heart, was the glow ever really there?

If this is truly my mind, was the darkness ever really defeated?

If this is truly my soul, was the love found inside this place  ever really a love at all?

Motionless he stands. Staring at the opening to what was once his most favourite place: in the centre of his first love.

changing it up

I figured I'd change this blog up a bit.

It'll STILL be the blog I use when I go over to Kenya for a month over the months of November and December.

And it is also the blog that will STILL document the many movings God did in my heart last year.

But I also figure it can be a place where Truth can be spoken, even while I'm still here in Canada. So, above is the beginning of a story...it'll continue over the next several weeks. This same story will also act as the introduction to my writings and sharings.

as last time, all are welcomed to read...

...but typically, I'm aiming my writings to and for Christians. And trust me, it's probably a good thing. I believe Christians are called to a standard of unprecendented expecations: to be holy and blameless (Esp1:4) .  Without the Spirit in us, there is no possible way to live out these expectations guilt and shame free. Nowhere are the same expectations or standards put on those who do not believe in Jesus, hence, why these writings are particularly aimed to and for my brothers and sisters in Jesus. And why, as a church, we should never push our teachings to people who have yet to meet Jesus.

Thankfully, we aren't alone in reaching these standards as Christians (John 14:16), whatta mighty God we do serve...well, that's if we're actually serving Him in the first place. I'll talk more about this later...

...but for now, consider yourself 'introduced' again to this blog.
